Info Post
2 new flicks opening wide in theaters for the weekend:

Beowulf

The Plot: A hero saves the Danes from the indomitable monster Grendel, only to incur the wrath of the demon's mother, a wickedly seductive entity.
My Thoughts: Robert Zemeckis last motion-capture animation project, The Polar Express, is pretty cool but I can't tell what to think of this one yet... looks a bit cheesy. I am intrigued enough to want to see it on the big screen though. Seems a bit like 300, which I love. I wish we got the IMAX 3-D movies, as this is showing in that format where available.

Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium

The Plot: Edward Magorium (Dustin Hoffman), the eccentric, 243-year-old owner of the most fantastic toy shop in the world wills his business to his shy, awkward store manager (Natalie Portman). But her leadership is soon challenged by a dark, ominous presence in the shop.
My Thoughts: I really can't decide about this one either. Looks a little goofy, intentionally at least, and probably aimed a lot more at kids obviously. But it's from Fox-Walden, the company behind the recent mega-flop The Dark Is Rising. Might be a fun family flick though, Dustin is usually pretty entertaining in this type of role.
