So we're both back home now. The new World of Coca~Cola in Atlanta was really cool. The place is really modern with a great animatd intro movie that the kid's loved, lots of interactive stuff to do, a great "4D" movie complete with 3D glasses, moving seats and mists of water in the face... and of course lots of Coke products to sample at the end. Well worth visiting. From there we picniced in Centennial Park for a fun afternoon.
On Wednesday we went to the Wild Animal Safari Park in Pine Mountain, where you drive through 500 acres and all the animals take turns begging for food, slobbering all over the vehicle and trying to reach your food with their tongues through the windows. The kids were a bit scared at first, but by the time it was over they were loving it. Really neat place. Tip: use one of the park's vehicles... unless you want your's scratched or covered in buffalo saliva. We left from there for Callaway Gardens, a beautiful place with a great lake that has a sandy little beach and lots of floating toys for the kids (and big kids) to play on. Looks like a lot of fun for a weekend getaway in the entire area, with a very nice resort on the property along with a golf course and lots of trails.All-in-all a wonderful trip! Now back to my normal routines I guess as I'm almost out of vacation days. Where did the Summer go?
Well, today, one of the greatest movies events of all-time finally occurs. Right up there with Citizen Kane, Gone With The Wind and Star Wars... The Simpsons Movie is finally out! In the words of Homer Simpsons, "Wooo Hooo!" I can't wait to see this baby! Also out today is the golf comedy Who's Your Caddy?, which I think looks dreadful. They should have called it Crappyshack. Lindsay Lohan's thriller I Know Who Killed Me is out also. The Lindsay jokes are just too easy, sadly enough, so I'll pass. The movie looks like a renter. Lastly the chick flick with Catherine Zeta-Jones called No Reservations hits today, and I have no reservations about saying I have no desire to watch it.
