Info Post

A Viking boy is left behind after his clan battles a Native American tribe. Raised within the tribe, he ultimately becomes their savior in a fight against the Norsemen.

I thought this movie had a cool premise, I mean who wouldn't like a big battle between the Vikings and Indians, but it gets a bit murky as it chugs along. If you like battles, beheadings and blood (who doesn't?) then you'll be pleased with that aspect. If you enjoy good storylines and strong characters you'll be disappointed.

The cinematography wasn't as good as I'd hoped for knowing the subject matter and time period. They could have done some great stuff with locations but failed to. It instead tends to be too loud and busy, causing it to just be ugly at times. It reminded me a bit of 300, but with all the style sucked out of it.

But all in all, it's got a lot of action and fights and such and personally I found it quite entertaining. I love this type of movie and this is a better film that Nomad, but nowhere near the level of 300.

6/10
