Info Post
After receiving a mysterious mask, a woman believes she was attacked by an evil being she calls ‘Nightmare Man’. Her husband, Bill, believes she is crazy. On their way to the mental hospital their car breaks down and Bill goes to get gas, leaving Ellen alone. When Nightmare Man appears, Ellen takes off into the woods, unsure whether she is hallucinating or not.

I'll admit I wasn't expecting much from this film knowing the director's (Rolfe Kanefsky) claim to fame was movies with names like Emmanuelle's Intimate Encounters, Emmanuelle Pie and The Erotic Misadventures of the Invisible Man. But, all-in-all, this wasn't that bad. Most of the acting was pretty poor but they all seemed to have fun with the material and they were a likable bunch for the most part. The movie must have been made on a very small budget and that really shows at times with the effects and cinematography... probably a step above what possibly Emmanuelle Meets Nightmare Man might be.

The plot has a couple of twists and the whole movie is a cross between The Mask, The Exorcist and Evil Dead. A couple of the kills come at times when you don't expect them, which is always fun. There is lots of gore and nudity, especially the very hot Tiffany Shepis, so that's a plus.

Overall, it's really not that bad for a small budget B-movie.

5/10
