Info Post

Got my new pedals/shoes for my road bike this past weekend and yesterday I went with a buddy and did 31 miles... over 10 miles farther than I'd gone yet. That wasn't too bad, except that he pushed the pace quite a bit faster than I normally ride and I was spent by about the 25 mile mark. Also had my first blowout that we had to change. I say we of course, I just watched and learned. Great ride though. I'm gonna try to get ready to get in a 50-mile ride this fall. I'm really starting to enjoy the bike riding, now that I've just about bought everything I need to no longer look like a rookie. Still got a few things though.

We went and saw The Full Monty last night in it's final night at The Arkansas Repertory Theater and it was fantastic! If you've seen the movie, it stays pretty much like that except instead of being British, they've set it in Buffalo, NY and it's a lot more American. This version had 10 Tony Award nominations and did 770 show on Broadway, and it's easy to see why. It's hilarious! The music was great and the cast was fantastic. It's definitely R-rated and raunchy a bit, but I highly recommend it to anyone not easily offended. There was not 1 single person in that theater not clapping and cheering for the big strip show at the end.

At the beginning of Ratatouille the other night, they showed the trailer for next year's animated Pixar film called Wall-E. Looks like it's about a robot in space. Not much of a trailer but I'm sure it'll be cool, their movies always are. They also had a new animated short called Lifted which ran before the movie. It was about some funny aliens trying to abduct some poor sleeping guy and the theater was roaring. It was hilarious. My favorite Pixar short is probably Boundin', but this one was maybe better even. Another short I laughed out loud at was Mike's New Car on the Monster's Inc. DVD.

I was thinking yesterday that as much as I enjoyed Ratatouille, it's still nowhere near the top of my Pixar list. So I ranked them in order of how much of like them:

1. Monsters Inc.
2. The Incredibles
3. Toy Story
4. Ratatouille
5. Finding Nemo
6. Toy Story 2
7. Cars
8. A Bug's Life

All good movies, I just think Monsters Inc and The Incredibles were so brilliant, they'll be hard to ever top. Only a 1 year wait until Wall-E!
